A bark-like surface, shaped into a sculptural vessel.

Cortex is 3D printed in a rosewood-toned, wood-filled PLA composite. The material contains wood fibres blended into PLA; it is not solid wood.

Deep vertical grooves, irregular ridges and knot-like openings give the vase its tree-trunk character. Fine print layers remain visible as part of the surface.

Style it as an object on its own or with dried stems. For use with water or fresh flowers, check suitability with the studio before ordering.

Why It's Special

CortexReal wood fibers in every piece — Rosewood PLA is a biodegradable filament infused with actual wood particles. The surface texture, grain, and even the faint woody scent come from real wood content.

Hyperrealistic bark texture — Every groove, knot, and ridge is printed as a continuous form in a single 3D print. No molding, no casting — the texture is the geometry.

Indistinguishable from real tree trunk — Side-by-side with weathered wood, you won't be able to tell the difference until you lift it.

Water-safe with liner — Use as a vase for fresh or dried arrangements with the included liner. Without a liner, works beautifully for dried stems, pampas, or as pure sculpture.
