Cortex is a sculptural vase 3D printed in rosewood PLA — a biodegradable filament infused with actual wood fibers. The result is a vase that doesn't mimic wood. It is wood. Touch it, and you feel the grain. Knock on it, and it sounds like a hollow log. Place it in sunlight, and it warms like a piece of driftwood on a beach.

Every knot hole, every deep vertical groove, every irregular bark ridge is printed into the form. Two darker voids suggest where branches once grew. The texture is rough, tactile, and honest — the kind of surface that invites your fingers to trace it.

Fill it with dried pampas grass and foraged wildflowers for a woodland still life. Let it hold single stems of eucalyptus for a quieter moment. Or leave it empty, and it becomes a sculpture — a sliced section of an ancient tree, standing on your shelf.

Printed in our Bangalore studio. Made to order, in a material that smells faintly of sawdust when freshly made.

Hyperrealistic bark texture — Every groove, knot, and ridge is printed as a continuous form in a single 3D print. No molding, no casting — the texture is the geometry.

Indistinguishable from real tree trunk — Side-by-side with weathered wood, you won't be able to tell the difference until you lift it.

Water-safe with liner — Use as a vase for fresh or dried arrangements with the included liner. Without a liner, works beautifully for dried stems, pampas, or as pure sculpture.

Made to order — 3D printed over 20+ hours and hand-inspected in our Bangalore studio. No two pieces are exactly alike — slight variations in how the grain prints give each Cortex its own character.
